Annihilation

June 21, 2006

I have discovered Papalazarou's motive no not motive intent he left deliberately im sure his plot box open Dick had said he would and maybe he did no for sure he did I'm feeling suckered but it turns out we're just an experiment along the way to try it out this theory of his the Laz has another on of his "men" out there closing off collaborative stories as soon as they get going or sometimes just confounding them with bizarre plot twists or the random slaying of key characters sometimes just perverting their character hes given this "man" another one of his inventions or possibly a stolen character an out of work ex hippy who lives he says in Brighton and scours online communities looking for collaborative iterature of any kind and stopping them dead in their tracks at first I thought he was anti-literature but it's more discerning directed targetted than that what he wants to do is to annihilate eradicate all post modern literature and to achieve this he has this plot to go back and wipe out key characters in key texts of post modernism and even some of the key texts that gave rise to post-modernism "taking out the texts" he calls it in his notebooks and he has a hit list of such texts no oulipo texts he has a note that those texts don't count because they are "largely self defeating – oulipo – an evolutionary dead end that contains within it the very germ of its own destruction" but some surprising candidates too or not so surprising when you think of it

Stephen Daedalus – take him out in Portrait (find a decent opporuntity) or else get Buck Mulligan to bump him off outside the Martello tower and dump his body intothe scrotum tightening sea then turn that rambling text into a 24 hour detective story (should cut it to about 400 pages)
Tristram Shandy – at the interruption of his engendering coitus – father has a heart attack and spills his seed, including Tristram, on the hard pine floor beside the marital bed

Desmond Trellis – cannot swim – at two bords or anywhere else and drowns in the pond at Cruiskeen Lawn – or one of the books with green covers is dosed with arsenic (refs: Napoleon, Aresnic and Old Lace, also Eco) – yes I like that

who else who is next what to do
